What started as a weekly get together has turned into something quite extraordinary.
The Karma Klub began in October 2006 with a handful of school pals who met weekly to hang out, play games and just relax. At that time, the focus was on fun and no one could have anticipated the powerful events that would soon shape the destiny of this group. For as the weeks passed, it became apparent they were brought together for a much greater purpose.
But what was that purpose?
In order to make their time together more meaningful, the friends decided to practice simple, random acts of kindness with total strangers- to see what would happen.
Their first mission was to visit the local Tim Horton's, where they waited in the drive thru line to pay for the car behind them. Shocked by the random act of kindness, the lucky recipient(s) would drive off with a smile and a heart full of gratitude. This one simple act of kindness generated such a positive response that the KarmaKids continue to "surprise and delight " Tim's customers on a regular basis.
How exciting it was to discover the power of kindness!
The thrill of giving to total strangers has inspired the KarmaKids to come up with many more ways to spread goodwill in their community and beyond.
As we set out on our journey, we want to share our excitement with everyone and hope that our story will inspire you to start your very own Karma Klub-so that people around the world can experience more joy in their daily lives.
Remember...
Kindness is meant to be shared....so pass it on!
